The Pace Car is the car that positions racers for laps before a race, and the car that returns to control the pace in a yellow flag. There is a different pace car for every single race. Some pace cars include famous drivers and celebrities who traditionally start off the race. Others include NASCAR veterans such as Richard Petty at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Dario Franchitti at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Juan Pablo Montoya at Watkins Glen International, and driving Justin Wilson's 02 McDonald's car at Pocono Raceway.
